May is always a busy month here in the afterschool arm of BCM, as we spend this month and much of June delivering fast-paced, hands-on workshops to old and new friends all over New England as they prepare for their summer programs.  Some will serve as few as 10 students, others will serve hundreds; some will work with the same students all summer while others get to know a new group each week of their program.  Regardless, all have a few things in common: they want to deliver meaningful, engaging learning opportunities for their summer students.  They want to help prevent the summer learning loss we’ve all heard about.  And they want to keep summer programming fresh all summer for themselves, not just for their students and campers.

Whether you’ve been in the business for days, weeks, or decades, we can help you gear up for summer.  Have you been meaning to add more STEM activities to your summer programming?  We can help with that!  Did you just hire new, young camp educators that need help finding and delivering quality curriculum activities?  We’re got that too!  While our complete curriculum is – and always will be – available completely free of charge, many sites find that they benefit from having us come out and do an in-depth, customized training workshop.  We’ll work with you to craft exactly the training your staff needs.  You’ll find yourself playing like a kid as we model new teaching ideas and jazz up your summer plans!
